What to Expect:
Participants will experience the creative arts through improvisation, music making, movement, songwriting, creative expression, and so much more. We will work on general goals such as social skills, communication skills, life skills, speech, movement, developmental, emotional, and even some academic skills as well. All of the goals will be appropriate for the needs each individual!
A Few Things You Should Know Before Registering!
1. Our virtual groups will run on Zoom. At any time if a break is needed, please just turn off your camera and microphone, take your quick break, and come right back on!
2. If your participant needs more hands on assistance/guidance than we can provide over a computer please make sure that someone accompanies them to this group, such as a nurse, respite worker, behavioral tech, parents, therapist, etc.
3. Of course we are working on goals throughout these groups, but we will also be having fun! Two of our main goals are improving quality of life and socialization, which includes laughing with others, smiling with others and emotionally responding to events around us. The arts provide a space for each participant to express themselves and explore their emotions and creativity. We want them to feel comfortable and able to be themselves! We hope they will make some new friends and grow with us!
